Services for Families

Learning Disabilities, attention deficit disorder, dyslexia, lack of motivation, falling significantly behind…Do any of these issues sound familiar? Many young people become pessimistic about school instead of seeing it as a means to gaining freedom. Did you know that only 69% of adolescents under 20 succeed in getting their high school diploma? Turning to School Success means offering your child the opportunity to benefit from personalized academic support with a certified, dynamic and professional tutor. By identifying his or her weaknesses and developing an action plan. This plan will be aimed to help your child regain their self-confidence while boosting their grades and academic motivation.

We offer services throughout Canada to primary school, high school and college students.

Here is a list services offered by our organization. Click on the service that interests you for more information.

Homework Help and Academic Support

Ideal for giving your child a little boost! Our team is careful to assign each student to a tutor according that fits their personalities. We look for a tutor that will be able to support your child in a unique way, going back over the topics covered in class, consolidating newly acquired knowledge, and, finally, providing enrichment if it is needed. Although we provide an action plan after having evaluated your child’s strengths and weaknesses during the first session, you are free to create your own intervention plan by choosing either regular support for the entire school year or occasional sessions when your student feels as though he needs it, such as in preparation for a test (see the Test Prep section).

Remedial Classes

Has your child been falling progressively behind in his classes over a long period of time?

This service aims to help students who have been falling progressively behind on their classes either in all of their subjects or in one subject in particular. Following a diagnostic session, we will design an intervention plan adapted to the student’s needs that will allow him or her to catch up and regain confidence in his or her abilities. The tutor and the student will work together to determine a series of concrete and realistic long-term and short-term objectives, allowing the student to see that he or she is learning and making progress.

Test Prep

Does your child need help preparing for MELS exams or end of term exams?

This service is primarily designed to provide a review of a particular subject matter in order to adequately prepare a student for an exam. The tutor will create an effective study plan based on the problem areas discovered during the first session with your child, and will then target those concepts with specific exercises. Finally, your child will benefit from helpful tips and advice given by his or her tutor. In some cases, students even have the opportunity to practice using tests that provide an overview of the subject; evidently, this is a great way to prepare them for taking the exam.

Summer Classes

Does your child need a second chance?

Call School Success now and we will help him or her to pass the current year and begin the next school year with more confidence. Your student has the unique opportunity to retake one or more subjects. We provide an opportunity for students to go back over the main concepts in order to consolidate what they already know, providing them with better preparation, and filling them with more confidence regarding the school year ahead. The tutor will identify your student’s areas of difficulty from the very first session and will be therefore able to design lessons that are adapted to his or her particular needs.

Preparation for Private or International School Entrance Exams

Do you want your student to attend a private or international school?

We offer you with the opportunity to make sure that your child is as prepared as possible to get a good score on the entrance exams. These exams represent an important step in your child’s life. They will determine his or her future for the next five years. As these exams will be written during Grade 6, you should register your child while he or she is in Grade 5 in order for him or her to have adequate time to prepare for the exam. This service is offered from July to October. In order to optimize your child’s chances for success, we also offer a practice examination simulating real exam conditions, the creation and implementation of an intervention plan adapted to the needs of the student and pedagogical exercises aimed at satisfying the schools’ requirements.
